- In 1961, 125 London Transport Q1 class trolleybuses were sold to Spain. 12 went to Tranvias de Zaragoza, and were modified by transferring the rear entrance to the right-hand side, with the staircase being reconstructed in the centre of the saloon. An exit was built at the front of the lower deck. On 20 July 1982,Zaragoza 74 (ex LT 1838)was still to be found alongside the NII road about 8km from the city towards Lrida.
©Ian Charlton - 6 Q1\’s operated for the Compania de Trolebuses Santander-Astillero. The rear entrance was moved to the right-hand side, the stairs moved to the left side of the platform, and a central exit placed just in front of the rear bogie. Although the system had been closed for several years, two of the Q1\’s (ex 1775 and 1829) were still to be found in a yard about 2km from Santander on 29 July 1982. ©Ian Charlton
